M. shabodeho@aol.com November 20, 2010, 9:43 pm Published in Lebanon Daily News on November 18, 2010 Mary Ann Snyder EMERALD ISLE, NC Mary Ann Kreamer Snyder died Tuesday, November 16, 2010, at her residence after a lengthy battle with melanoma. Memorial services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday at Shepherd of the Sea Lutheran Church, Atlantic Beach, N.C., and 11 a.m. Saturday at Zion Lutheran Church in Grantville. She was born in Rebersburg, the daughter of the late Charles and Edythe Kreamer. She was a graduate of Central Dauphin High School (Harrisburg), Harrisburg Hospital School of Nursing, Lebanon Valley College, and Pennsylvania State University. She retired from Pinnacle Health System in 1990 as Director of Women's and Children's Services. After relocating to North Carolina, she was employed as an Enrolled Agent for H&R Block. She was a member of Shepherd of the Sea Lutheran Church, Star Hill Golf Club, Southern Belles Barbershop Group, the Crystal Coast Choral Society, and the Harrisburg Hospital Alumni Association. She is survived by her husband of 34 years, Paul A. Snyder; son, David J. VanKirk of Annville; stepchildren, Beth A. Flanery of Bel Air, Md., and Jeffrey P. Snyder and wife, Para of Phoenix, Ariz.; brother, Jeff F. Kreamer and wife, Marie of Mt. Union; sisters, Jane A. Bomberger of Hummelstown and Barbara E. Kreamer of Centre Hall; nephews, Andrew, Matthew, and Aaron Bomberger; and grandchildren, Corey, Ryan, Blake, Paul, Taylor, Tristen, and Cameron. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, James E.L. VanKirk. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Shepherd of the Sea Lutheran Church, 201 E.
