He was the husband of Martha L. High Stahl with whom he celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary on July 13, 2010. He was born in Cressona, on April 12, 1916, a son of the late John F. and Hattie M. Henry Stahl. He was a graduate of Lebanon High School class of 1934, where he played football and basketball. He was a WWII veteran, having served in the U.S. Marine Corps in the Battle of Okinawa where he was wounded in action. He was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, and he was an avid bowler and golfer. He was a member of the Annville Legion and the Friendship Fire Company. He was a former member of the Elks, Blue Mountain Golf Senior League, Lincoln Republican Club, and the Royal Men's Club. In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughter, Barbara Eisenhauer and companion, David Eisenhauer of Lebanon; grandchildren, Michael and wife, Jessica Eisenhauer of Dupont, and Amy, wife of John Craig of Billings, Mont.; great-grandchildren, Brittany and John Eisenhauer, and Katie and Luke Craig; step greatgrandson, Michael Mazur; sister, Anna Rhoads of Lebanon; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by brothers, Russell, Franklin, and Ivan Stahl; and sisters, Dorothy Horn and Arlene Lemieux. Funeral services will be Tuesday 11 a.m. in the Rohland Funeral Home, 5th and Cumberland Sts., Lebanon. Viewing will be Tuesday from 10 a.m. to the time of service in the funeral home. Interment will be made in Grand View Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 723 Lehman St., Lebanon, PA 17046.
