Stifnagle, 75, of Sewell, N.J., and Myerstown, died April 21, 2010, in the Underwood Memorial Hospital, Woodbury, N.J. He was the husband of Shirley (Bashore) Stifnagle. Born in Temple, he was a son of the late William C. and Beatrice M. (Reinert) Stifnagle. William graduated from Muhlenberg High School in 1952 and from Moravian College, Bethlehem, where he received a B.S. in 1956. He worked for American Casualty, Reading; Cigna, Jacksonville, Fla.; IMU, New York, N.Y., and Markel American Waukesha, Wis. Bill was a Master Mason and Tyler of Pitman Lodge No. 197. He was also a member of Joshua Chapter No. 51, Royal Arch Masons Van Hook No. 8, Royal and Select Masters Cyrene Commandery No. 7, Knights Templar Southern New Jersey Valley, Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite Glassboro Forest No. 1, Tall Cedars of Lebanon. Devoted husband, father and granddad, he enjoyed sailing and was a loyal member of the Moravian Alumni Assn., the Masons and a Muhlenberg Booster. He was a member of Hendricks United Methodist Church, Jacksonville, FL. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Gretchen Stifnagle, Blackwood, N.J., and Christopher, husband of Nicole Stifnagle, Mount Laurel, N.J., as well as his sister, Kay Koch, Wernersville He was Grandad to Robbie and Paige. Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. in the Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., 3300 Kutztown Rd., Laureldale. A viewing will be Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m. in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to: Muhlenberg Athletic Booster Club P.O.
