"Curly" Stump, 78, died Wednesday, December 15, 2010m at home. Born September 7, 1932, in Highspire, he was a son of the late Stuart K. and Sara (Smith) Stump. He retired from Milton Hershey School, attended Sherks Meeting House, Annville, was a member of Bindnagles Lutheran Church, Palmyra, and a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. A member of the Annville American Legion, he was formerly a member of the Musician's Union and was an avid music lover who played with a variety of bands from the age of 16, including Al Shade and the Martino Brothers. He loved his family, traveling, and volunteering at church. Surviving are his wife of 58 years, Erma J. (Bomgardner) Stump; sons, Leroy and Sandy Stump of Palmyra and Troy and Linda Stump of West Hanover Township; daughter, Valerie and Scott Fralick of Enola; grandchildren, Christopher Stump, Mindy Sauls, Amanda Stump, Roland Stump, Bailey Stump, and Casey Stump; great-grandson Taylor; and great-granddaughter, Lillian. He was preceded in death by siblings Charles, James, Dorothy, and Ronald. Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday at Grand View Memorial Park, 500 N. Weber St., Annville.
