Sweeney, 93, of the Lebanon Valley Home, Annville, died Tuesday, September 28, 2010, in the Home. She was the wife of Charles M. Sweeney who died in 1985. Born in Lebanon on October 18, 1916, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Mary Porter Leib. She was employed as a sewing machine operator with various garment factories. She was a member of St. Mark's United Church of Christ, Lebanon where she was a former Sunday school teacher of the children's class, a member of the Water Works Fire Co. Auxiliary, and the Good Samaritan Hospital Ladies Auxiliary. Surviving is a sister, Jacqueline Koons of Lebanon; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two great-great- grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, C. Richard Sweeney; and a sister, Doris Kimmel. Memorial services will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. from the Chapel of the Lebanon Valley Home, 550 E. Main Street, Annville, PA 17003. Inurnment will be held in Grand View Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Friday from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to the service at the Chapel. Contributions may be made to the Lebanon Valley Home or her Church at 426 N. 8th St., Lebanon, PA 17046 in Helen's memory. Kreamer Funeral Home and Crematory, Annville is in charge of arrangements.
