M. shabodeho@aol.com February 6, 2010, 11:40 pm Published in Lebanon Daily News on January 28, 2010 Virginia May "Ginny" Taylor Virginia May Taylor ELIZABETHTOWN On Saturday January 23, 2010, Virginia 'Ginny' May Taylor, 79, spread her wings and soared into the arms of her beloved husband, Howard 'Hop' Taylor, who began his journey in 2008. Formerly a resident of Mechanicsburg, Ginny departed from The Masonic Home in Elizabethtown. Born in Dayton, Va., on July 10, 1930, Ginny was the daughter of the late William E. and Anna Unger Sherriff. She graduated from Annville High School in 1948, and was a member of the Christian Life Assembly in Camp Hill. Ginny loved to square dance with her husband and was a member of Flirts & Skirts of Mechanicsburg, for almost 20 years. She also traveled afar on many cruise ships with her husband by her side. Ginny has left behind a son, James Taylor and wife Kerry and grandson Justin of Mechanicsburg; and sisters Florence Nye of Steelton, and Helen Shields of Harrisburg. She has now joined her brother, William E. Sherriff; and sister, Rosanna Weaver. Services and interment will be conducted privately at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association Greater PA Chapter 100, W. Station Square Dr. Ste 500 Pittsburgh, PA 15219.
