Thompson, 87, died Wednesday, June 9, 2010, at the VA Medical Center, Lebanon. He was the husband of Marian E. (Snell) Thompson. Kenneth was born in Lebanon, on December 20, 1922. He was a son of the late Harry and Beulah (Kohr) Thompson. He enjoyed skiing, walking, going to his cabin, traveling, and spending time with his family. He was a 1941 graduate of Lebanon High School. He was a U.S. Marine Corps Veteran of the Korean War and was a recipient of the Purple Heart. In addition to his wife, he is survived by three daughters, Patricia L., wife of Carl Hott of Lebanon, Kathleen A., wife of Richard Pflueger of Lebanon, and Karen L., wife of John Fornicola of Chattanooga, Tenn.; three grandchildren, Kelly Sinico, Kara Heilman, and Brian Heilman, who are the last of the immediate family; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Harold, Sterling, and Mark Thompson; and a sister, Erma Barr. Funeral service Monday 10:30 a.m. at Salem Lutheran Church, 8 and Willow St., Lebanon, 17046. Interment at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. Visitation Monday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church. In lieu of flowers, donation may be made to Salem Lutheran Church, 8 and Willow St., Lebanon, PA 17046; or VA Hospice, 1700 S. Lincoln Ave., Lebanon, PA 17042.
