M. shabodeho@aol.com May 22, 2010, 10:50 pm Published in Lebanon Daily News on May 20, 2010 Christena "Christy" Wagner Christena Wagner LITITZ Christena "Christy" Wagner, 71, passed away Tuesday, May 18, 2010, at Hospice of Lancaster County, Mount Joy. Born in Salisbury, Md., on January 28, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Lloyd T. and Christena Metz Widdowson. Christy was a graduate of Washington High School, Princess Anne, Md., and Union Memorial Hospital School of Nursing, Baltimore. Christy was a Registered Nurse working at Union Memorial Hospital, Baltimore, Dr. Gerald Weaver Family Practice, Lititz, and Philhaven Hospital, Mount Gretna. She volunteered for 10 years at Pleasant View Retirement Community. Christy enjoyed singing, reading to her grandchildren, working in the yard, writing, reading, genealogy, bird watching, watching the moon and stars, and loved animals, cooking, and baking for the family. She was married to L. Gordon Wagner for 47 years. She is also survived by two sons, L.G. "Lon", Jr. (Cheryl Lenderking) Wagner of Norfolk, Va., and Lance K. (Stacy Frey) Wagner of Lancaster; a daughter, Amy Wagner of Manheim; six grandchildren, Ava, Sadie, Lilla, Madison, Mackenzie, and Luke Wagner; two brothers, Lloyd Widdowson, Jr. of Baltimore, Md., and Philip (Virginia) Widdowson, Sr. of Princess Anne, Md.; and a sister, Barbara W. (Wallace) Boston of Hampstead, Md. She was preceded in death by five brothers, Luther, Arthur, Carlisle, Austin, and Fred; and three sisters, Norma W. Edler, Ava W. Slavin, and Geneva W. Werner. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Christy's Life Celebration Service at Brickerville United Lutheran Church, 340 E. 28th Division Hwy., Lititz, on Saturday at 11 a.m. Interment in Emanuel Lutheran Cemetery, Elizabeth Twp. Friends may call at Spacht Funeral Home, 127 S. Broad St., Lititz, on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and also at the church on Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m. Please omit flowers.
