M. shabodeho@aol.com October 15, 2010, 3:12 pm Published in Lebanon Daily News on October 14, 2010 Helen Williams WEST CHESTER Helen Williams, 96, formerly of Hershey and Palmyra, died peacefully on Tuesday, October 12, 2010, at the Pocopson Home, West Chester. Born in Glassport, on June 6, 1914, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Anna (Petrie) Kachmarik. A retired cafeteria manager, she was a member of the Lebanon Valley Bible Church, where she sang in the choir. Helen performed countless hours of volunteer work for her church as well as the Hershey Medical Center, where she logged 6,839 hours of service. She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Cyril, and is survived by her son, Thomas and his wife, Karen of Sarasota, Fla.; two granddaughters, Debi Wilding and Cheryl Vaughn, both of Phoenixville; three great-grandchildren, Robby, Grace, and Benjamin; and brother, William Kachmarik of Henderson, Nev. She was preceded in death by brothers and sisters, Robert, Andrew, John, Ann Marnell, and Esther Merlino. Friends will be received at the Lebanon Valley Bible Church at 2 p.m. on Sunday, followed by a memorial service at 3 p.m. Interment will be Monday, October 18, in the Mount Vernon Cemetery, Elizabeth. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Lebanon Valley Bible Church or the Children's Miracle Network.
