  Joseph K. Wittle COLUMBIA Joseph K. Wittle, 90, passed peacefully on Saturday 
  at the M.S. Hershey Medical Center. He was married 60 years to his wife, 
  Lillian Wood Wittle, who survives. Born in Columbia, he was the son of the late 
  Oristus A. and Annie Hamilton Wittle. Joe retired in 1984 after 33 years of 
  service from the former ITT Grinnell Corporation, Columbia, where he worked as 
  a tool crib mechanic. He was a member of the Newtown United Methodist Church 
  and enjoyed gardening, refinishing furniture and chair caning. In addition to 
  his wife are two daughters, Judy L., wife of Kenneth Shertzer, Lebanon, and 
  Glenda W., wife of John Wilkinson of Manheim; and two grandchildren, Amy Wolfe 
  and Gregory Shertzer. The last of his immediate family, he was preceded in 
  death by his siblings, Charles and Ruth Wittle and Esther Hallgren. Funeral 
  services will be held from the Clyde W. Kraft Funeral Home, Inc. 519 Walnut St. 
  Columbia, on Wednesday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Chris McLaughlin, officiating. 
  Interment in Newtown Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on 
  Wednesday one hour prior to the service. Kindly omit flowers. Contributions to 
  the Memorial Fund of the Newtown U.M. Church 1910 Iron Bridge Road Columbia PA 
  17512, in Joe's memory would be deeply appreciated.
