Yiengst PALMYRA Anna Louise (Gingrich) Yiengst, 82, passed away unexpectedly in her sleep on Tuesday, February 16, 2010, at her home. She was born Wednesday, November 30, 1927, in Hershey, to the late George M. and Pearl (Pittsenberger) Gingrich. She graduated from Derry Township High School in 1945 and taught piano for over 40 years, sharing her passionate love of music with hundreds of students. She was a pianist for Palmyra Chorus, Four for One, and Trinity U.C.C. She also performed an annual holiday recital at her church. Most of all, her life was centered around following her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She was a student of the Bible, studied with Moody Seminary, living what she believed everyday. She loved her children and their families greatly. She is survived by a daughter, Suzanne F. Foca and husband, Pat of Palmyra; a son, Barry P. Yiengst and wife, Wendy of Palmyra; a granddaughter, Anna Marie Foca of Zurich, Switzerland; a stepgranddaughter, Francesa Foca of Marlton, N.J.; a sister, Wanda Hower and husband, Ezra of Grantville; a brother, Dale Gingrich and wife, Sandra of Hummelstown; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers, Louis and George Gingrich. Funeral services will be held Monday, February 22, 2010, at 11 a.m. at Trinity United Church of Christ, 40 W. Pine St., Palmyra, PA 17018, with the Rev. Michael W. Beynon officiating. Family and friends are invited for viewing on Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Rothermel Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 25 W. Pine St., Palmyra, and Monday at the church from 10 a.m. until time of the service. Burial will follow in Grandview Memorial Park, Annville. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her honor to Trinity U.C.C.
