Zeiger, Sr., 79, passed away Friday, July 9, 2010, at his home in Hershey. He was born June 20, 1931, in Campbelltown. He was the son of the late Harry L. and Beatrice A. (Hower) Zeiger. Paul served proudly in the U.S.M.C. as a Sergeant from 1950-1953. He graduated from Hershey High School in 1949. He graduated from Hershey Junior College, Millersville State Teachers College (BS of Education), and Bucknell University (MS of Education). He also attended Temple, Penn State, and Shippensburg for postgraduate work. His life long career in education included Education Administration, Swatara Twp. School District (Teacher), Elementary Principal at C.D. School District, Consultant for Yeshiva Academy, and Substitute Principal at Milton Hershey School, Derry Twp. Middle School, and C.D. School District. He belonged to the Bob Smith U.S.M.C. League, Hummelstown; First United Methodist Church, Hershey; Derry Twp. Historical Society; and was a life member of the Campbelltown Fire Co. Paul is survived by his wife, Elizabeth R. (Rohland); son, Paul W., Jr. (Patrice S.) of Annville; daughter, Susan Cranford (Todd) of Campbelltown; brothers, Kenneth (Karon) of California; and Roger (Dorothy) of South Carolina; sisters, Beatrice Wise (Lewis) of Palmyra and Darlene Engle (Lloyd) of Campbelltown; grandchildren, Page Fox (Ken), Sarah Wickenheiser (Steve), Brandon King, and Kaitlin, Dakotah, and Landry Cranford; greatgrandchildren, Brandy and Austyn Fox, and Colton Wickenheiser; sisters/brothers-in-law, Cathy (Rohland) McGarvey, Carol (Rohland) Good (Larry), and Mary Alice (Rohland) Litehizer (Paul); and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers and sisters-in-law, Harry B. (Meg) and Ronald R. (Diane). A memorial service will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. in the First United Methodist Church, 64 W. Chocolate Ave., Hershey. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service. Interment will be private in the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville. Paul was a patient, honest, caring and quick-witted man who loved helping and teaching others. He was and continues to be a great role model to all. He will be truly missed.
