M. shabodeho@aol.com October 21, 2010, 10:22 am Published in Lebanon Daily News on October 19, 2010 Earl Zellers Sr. FREDERICKSBURG Earl Zellers, Sr., 84, of Fredericksburg, devoted husband and father, passed away on Monday, October 18, 2010, at his home with his wife and family by his side. He was the husband of Pauline G. Schamber Zellers they had celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary on October 4th. Born in Bethel, on August 30, 1926, he was the son of the late Howard and Daisy Lux Zellers. Earl was an avived farmer and also worked for the Lebanon Steel Foundry and the former Cresent Truck. He retired in 1988 from Quaker Alloy and continued to resume his farming hobby after retirement. He was a member of Union Salem Evangelical Congregational Church. Earl enjoyed hunting, racing and loved the Phillies. In addition to his wife he is survived by sons, Earl L. Zellers, Jr. and his wife, Marlene of Fredericksburg, and Russell G. Zellers and his wife, Michele of Fredericksburg; daughters, Sylvia G. wife of Terry Leed of Richland, Christine M. wife of Michael Haag of Myerstown and Marlene J. wife of Kenneth Dechert of Fredericksburg; a step-sister, Ellen Schoner of Myerstown; nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Earl lived for his family and loved watching each one grow. The twinkle in his eye and smile no longer will be seen but cherished in his children's minds and hearts. He was a wonderful man who put pride in everything he did. He will be deeply missed by his devoted wife and family. Go sore with the eagles and no more pain. We will see you someday. We love you dad. Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment will be at his church cemetery.
