"Rita" Zellers, 86, died on Tuesday, May 18, 2010, at Good Samaritan Hospital. She was born on Tuesday, October 9, 1923, to the late Abram Buffenmeyer and Reteisa Buffenmeyer nee Laudermilch in Lebanon. She was an active member of Hebron United Methodist Church where she faithfully served the Lord in many capacities over the years. She was a graduate of South Lebanon High School. She was previously employed as a saleswoman for World Book Encyclopedia and helped with her husband's real estate business. She was a lifetime member of the Lebanon County Flower Club. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, knitting, reading, and keeping in touch with friends. Surviving are son, Dennis, spouse of Rachel Zellers of Lancaster; daughter, Nancy Zellers, who resides in Portugal; sisters, Mary Uhler, Helen Sholly, Bertha DiFava, Alice Pietronuto, Ruth Gettle of Lebanon, and Ida Hurst of Mohnton; and brothers, Abram Buffenmeyer of Schaefferstown, and Jacob and Earl Buffenmeyer of Lebanon. She was preceded in death by husband of 61 years, Lester M. Zellers. Viewing will be on Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Hebron United Methodist Church, 5th Ave. and Walnut St., Lebanon. Funeral services will be on Friday at 10:30 a.m. at the church. Burial will be at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, following the service. Memorial contributions may be made to Hebron United Methodist Church, 5th Ave. and E. Walnut St., Lebanon, PA 17042; or Greater Europe Mission, Monument, CO.
