  Samuel L. Zern Jr. 
  
  PALMYRA Samuel Levi 'Sam', 'Sammy', 'Butch' Zern, Jr., 65, went home to be with 
  our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, Sunday, October 24, 2010, at his home in the 
  Palmyra Nursing Home. Born July 11, 1945, in Derry Township, Dauphin County, he 
  was a son of Mary (Weit) Zern of Countryside Christian Community, Annville and 
  the late Samuel L. Zern, Sr. who died October 16, 2005. He loved to read his 
  Bible and spend time with his family and years ago enjoyed spending time with 
  his dog Tiny. Surviving, in addition to his mother, are his sister, Sandra, 
  wife of Eugene Rhoads of Lebanon; brother, Richard, husband of Karen Zern of 
  Palmyra; and sister, Darlene, wife of Enos Shuey, Jr. of Cleona. Other 
  survivors include nieces, Jennifer Pawling, Michelle Orner and Milissa Fox; 
  nephews, Michael and Mitchell Rhoads and Christopher Loy; and great-nieces and 
  nephews. A memorial service for family and friends will be held 3 p.m. 
  Wednesday at Buse Funeral Home, 145 N. Grant St., Palmyra. Interment will be in 
  Ebenezer Greenwood Cemetery, Lebanon.
