M. shabodeho@aol.com October 11, 2010, 9:01 pm Published in Lebanon Daily News on October 11, 2010 Esther Ziegler PALMYRA Esther Stoner Ziegler, 90, our loving mother, grandmother, and friend has left us to join our Lord in eternity Saturday October 9, 2010. She died in the Lebanon Valley Brethren Home, Palmyra. Born in Lancaster, on July 24, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Harry B. and Hetti Stoner Stauffer. She and her husband operated the family farm in the Campbelltown area for over 30 years and at one time she operated Aunt Esther's Antiques in Campbelltown. She was also employed by Bauer's Shoe Store in Palmyra. Esther was a member of Palmyra Church of the Brethren and a former Lebanon Valley Brethren Home Volunteer. Her life was devoted to her family. Her legacy will live on through the lives of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She is survived by a daughter, Mary Jane Marr of Miami Lakes, Fla.; seven sons, Jesse S. Ziegler of Palmyra, Mark Ziegler of Palmyra, Nelson Ziegler of Annville, James Ziegler of Palmyra, Melvin Ziegler of Nashville, Tenn., Bryan Ziegler of Lebanon, and Jay Ziegler of Hummelstown; a brother, Clarence Stauffer of New Holland; 13 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by six brothers; two sisters; and two grandchildren, Emily and Andrew Ziegler. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. from the DiMatteo Worship Center at the Lebanon Valley Brethren Home, 1200 Grubb Road, Palmyra, 17078. Interment will be in Grand View Memorial Park. Viewing will be held on Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Kreamer Funeral Home and Crematory, 618 E. Main St., Annville, and on Thursday from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to the service. Contributions may be made to the Lebanon Valley Brethren Home in Esther's memory. Kreamer Funeral Home and Crematory, Annville, is in charge of arrangements.
