  David J. Allwein 
  
  NAZARETH David J. Allwein, 74, died Wednesday, July 6, 2011, in Lehigh Valley 
  Hospital Salisbury Township. He was the husband of Betty Jane (Walters) 
  Allwein, who died February 21, 2006. Born December 18, 1936, in Lebanon, he 
  was the son of the late Wayne and Eva (Miller) Allwein. He was employed by 
  E.E. Murry Construction Company in Lancaster for many years. David was a long 
  time member of St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Lebanon. He was an eagle scout, 
  a scout leader, and a member of the order of the arrow. Surviving are his son, 
  David Allwein and his wife, Tammie of Palmrya; daughters, Debra, wife of Barry 
  Rudy of Myrestown, and Susan, wife of Michael Kreiser of Lebanon; stepsons, 
  Richard Heller and wife, Valerie of Chicago, Ill., and Mark Heller and wife, 
  Lisa of New Tripoli; stepdaughter, Robyn, wife of Robert Grant of Seattle, 
  Wash.; 11 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sisters, Theresa, wife of 
  Anthony Dooley, and Barbara, wife of Donald Speck, both of Lebanon; brother-in-
  law, Bernard Bretherick of Palmyra; and sister-in-law, Sarah Allwein of 
  Lebanon. David was predeceased by his brothers, Joseph Allwein and Wayne 
  Allwein, Jr.; and sisters, Mary Koehler and Nancy Bretherick. Funeral services 
  will be Tuesday, July 12, at 11 a.m. in the Reichel Funeral Home, 220 
  Washington Park, Nazareth. Family and friends may call Tuesday 10 to 11 a.m. 
  Burial will follow in the Laurel Wood Cemetery, Stroudsburg.
