Barnes, Jr., 39, passed away Friday, July 15, 2011, at home. Mr. Barnes was born in Middletown, on February 2, 1972, the son of the late Thomas and Karen (Miller) Barnes. He served in the U.S. Army in Operation Iraqi Freedom. He had received the Army Commendation Medal, 3 Army Achievement Medals, Army Good Conduct Medal, 2 Army Reserve Achievement Medals, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal with Campaign Star, Army Service Ribbon, Combat Medical Badge. Had also worked at Fort Indiantown Gap. He was the husband of Sara (Moore) Barnes. Survived in addition by daughters, Alicia and Bailey, both at home; a son, Adam Barnes; and a sister, Sister Suzanne and a Brother Jeff Barnes. A Military Honors Service will be held at Fort Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday. Louis D. Truskowsky Funeral Home & Crematory Inc. is in charge of arrangements.
