  HERSHEY Emily J. (Roberts) Barto, 84, passed away peacefully with family by her 
  side on Sunday, May 15, 2011, at M.S. Hershey Medical Center. She and her 
  loving husband, Richard R. Barto, would have celebrated 61 years of marriage on 
  June 17, 2011. She was born on Saturday, March 26, 1927, in Harrisburg, to the 
  late George E. and Vera (Yohe) Roberts. Emily was a strong and loving mother, 
  grandmother, and great-grandmother, who was completely devoted to her family. 
  In her free time she enjoyed crafting and was an accomplished hand painter. She 
  was a long time and active member of the Church of the Redeemer, United Church 
  of Christ, Hershey. In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, 
  Stephen R. Barto and wife, Connie of Hummelstown; a daughter, Diana L. Anspach 
  and husband, Joseph of Grantville; five grandchildren, Brian Laudermilch and 
  wife, Melanie of Montgomery, Mallory and Trevor Anspach of Grantville, Megan 
  Betz and husband, Joe of Elizabethtown, and Melissa Barto and fiance', C.J. 
  Hallman; four great-grandchildren, Seth, Brenden, Dylan, and Sophia; a sister, 
  Vera Thompson of Hummelstown; and several nieces and nephews. She was 
  predeceased by a daughter, Linda Laudermilch, and a sister, Natalie Shull. A 
  funeral service will be held on Friday at 11:30 a.m. at Rothermel Funeral Home 
  & Cremation Services, Inc., 25 W. Pine St., Palmyra 17078 with Pastor Betsy 
  Bruaw officiating. Family and friends are invited for visitation on Friday from 
  10:30 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home. Burial will follow in 
  Gravel Hill Cemetery, Palmyra.
