  CONEWAGO TWP. Richard A. Batz, 50, of Dauphin County, died Friday, April 22, 
  2011, at his home. Born October 21, 1960, in Hershey, he was a son of Lillian 
  G. (Marks) Batz of Hershey and the late Harold R. Batz, and was also preceded 
  in death by brothers, Michael H. Batz and Eugene C. "Rum" Batz. A mechanic for 
  Hershey Foods Corporation, he formerly worked for Simons Candy Company, 
  Elizabethtown, and was a member of Chocolate Workers Union Local 464. A true 
  family man, he was a devoted son to his mother and brother to his siblings. A 
  loyal friend, he thought of everyone before himself. Surviving, in addition to 
  his mother, are sisters, Patricia M. Batz of Palmyra, Joan, M., wife of Barry 
  Tyburski of Hershey, and Joy E., wife of Tom Logan of Palmyra; sister-in-law, 
  Dorothy M. Batz of Annville; and nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be 
  held 11 a.m. Tuesday at Conewago Church of the Brethren, 7035 Schoolhouse Road, 
  Hershey. Viewings will be held 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Buse Funeral Home, 145 N. 
  Grant St., Palmyra, and 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church. Interment will be 
  in Gravel Hill Cemetery, Palmyra, following the luncheon.
