Beckford LEBANON Jeremiah Ezekiel Beckford, 82, died Thursday, June 23, 2011, at Good Samaritan Hospital, Lebanon. He was the husband of Margaret Kramer Beckford. They celebrated their 27th wedding anniversary April 8, 2011. Born in St. Elizabeth, Jamaica, on May 9, 1929, he was the son of the late Wilford and Mary Banton Beckford. Jeremiah served with the British Royal Air Force as a chef and baker. He worked as a machine operator for Allentown Portland Cement Company until his retirement and attended God's Missionary Church in Lebanon. In addition to his wife, he is survived by three daughters, Pauline Beckford James of Laurel, Md., Camalita Beckford of Reading, and Blossom Brackman of Leesport; one son, Hugh Beckford and wife, Sherma Donovan of Stafford, Va.; a special niece, Pamela Carnegie Bunch of Crystal River, Fla.; one sister, Gladys Cranston of Jamaica; three grandchildren, Eletha, Kalei, and Taylor James Beckford; and three great-grandchildren, Parrish Davis, Dorion Cruz, and Enadia Cruz. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Selvin Woodbine and Leeford Banton; and five sisters, Vida Banton, Christina Blackwood, Doris Samuels, Muriel Carnegie, and Hulda Adina White. Funeral services will be on Friday, July 1, 2011, at 11 a.m. from the God's Missionary Church, 2127 Hill St., Lebanon 17046. Viewing will be held Thursday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Kreamer Funeral Home & Crematory, 618 E. Main St., Annville, and one hour prior to the service at the church.
