Behney LEBANON Frank Henry "Pap" Behney, 83, passed away in the Good Samaritan Hospital, Lebanon, on Monday, June 27, 2011. He was the husband of June Marie Kemmerling, whom he married July 3, 1948. He was born in Lebanon, on January 22, 1928, a son of the late Harry and Florence Whitman Behney. Mr. Behney was a master carpenter by trade and retired from the Northern Lebanon School District. He could always be found in his workshop. He loved attending his grandson's baseball games, as it gave him much pleasure and pride. He served his country in the Army during WWII. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Surviving are his wife, June; son, Gary Behney, husband of Rose of Elmira, N.Y.; grandson, Scott, husband of Christina of Lancaster, N.Y.; and special friends, Jim and Judy Whitman of Lebanon. Frank was predeceased by a son, Terry Behney, and a brother, Robert Behney. A viewing will be held at 1 p.m.. with a service at 2 p.m. on Friday, July 1, 2011, at Rohland Funeral Home Inc., 508 Cumberland St., Lebanon 17042. The Rev. Fr. Michael P. Reid, II of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, will perform the service. Interment will follow at Grand View Cementery, Annville. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Frank's memory to Holy Family Catholic School.
