"Peg" Berger, 79, died Monday August 8, 2011 at Cedar Haven Nursing Home. Born in Lebanon on August 30, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Earl and Kathryn Ristenbatt Clements. Peg was a 1949 graduate of Lebanon High School. She worked at the People's Bank in Lebanon and also at Giant Foods in Cleona. Peg was a member of Christ Presbyterian Church in Lebanon, where she sang in the choir. Peg was a member of the Card Club for 30 years, Eidelweiss Society, Senior Singles, and Parents Without Partners. She was also a wonderful baker, cook, loved animals and was an avid Phillies fan. Surviving is a son, Kenneth R. Berger and wife Kathleen; two daughters, Mardell wife of Richard Kline and Michelle wife of Lorne Koons all of Lebanon; two brothers, Earl E. Clements and Bob E. Clements and wife Shirley both of Lebanon; three sisters, Joanne wife of Robert Strawderman of Palmyra, Arlene wife of Earl R. Winters of Lebanon and Elaine wife of Ronald Hollinger of Lebanon; four grandchildren, Jason Kline, Ryan Berger, Matthew Berger, and Jennifer Ebersole; three great-grandchildren, Katelyn Fulk, Anthony Kline, and Mason Kline; her cat, Muffin; and many wonderful friends and extended family. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. from the Kreamer Funeral Home & Crematory, 618 E. Main St., Annville. Interment will be in Covenant/Greenwood Cemetery. Viewing will be held on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home and from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to the service. The family would like to thank everyone at Aseracare Hospice and Cedar Haven Nursing Home for the wonderful and caring treatment Peg received.
