Biever, 62, passed away unexpectedly on the morning of Saturday, May 14, 2011, at the M. S. Hershey Medical Center. He was the husband of Joann E. Sheppard Biever and on September 15th, they would have celebrated their 38th wedding anniversary. Born in Lebanon, on February 22, 1949, he was the son of the late John W. and Ruth A. Richardson Biever. He retired in 2006 from the Lebanon VA Medical Center where he had worked as a CNA for 34 years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and served during the Vietnam Conflict in which time he was stationed in Japan for two years. He was a member of the St. John's United Methodist Church, Lebanon and the Lickdale American Legion. He was a season ticket holder to the Hershey Bears, an avid Phillies and Eagles fan, a NASCAR fan, and a die-hard Penn State fan. He especially liked the weather channel and enjoyed sky watching. In addition to his wife he is survived by his sons, Christopher B. Biever of Jonestown, Kerry T. Biever of Lebanon and Timothy A. husband, of Sara Biever of Jonestown and his grandson, Dakota. He is also survived by numerous cousins including, Dr. John Biever of Annville, Diane Gottlieb of Lancaster and James Biever of Lebanon. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 6 p.m. at the St. John's United Methodist Church, 1709 N. Center St., Lebanon. Viewing will be held at the church from 4 to 6 p.m. Interment will be at the convenience of the family at the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, E. Hanover Twp.
