He was the husband of Thelma M. nee Hostetter Blouch, to whom he was married for 43 years. He was born in Lebanon on February 2, 1938, a son of the late Raymond Sr. and Dorothy Young Blouch. He was a 1956 graduate of Lebanon high School. He worked for 24 years in the Industrial Engineering Department at the former Lebanon Steel Foundry. In 1999 he retired as General Manager of Sterling Lebanon Packaging where he had been employed for 15 years. He was a lifelong member of Covenant United Methodist Church where he touched many lives with his singing and teaching. He also was a member of the church's administrative board. He was a charter member and the first Eagle Scout of Boy Scout Troop 446. For the past 60 years, his deep commitment to scouting was evident through his service as Assistant Scout Master and Troop Committee Member. He was a Vigil Member of Swatara Lodge #39 Order of the Arrow. He was also a member of the National Eagle Scout Association and helped established the Lebanon County Eagle Scout Association. He was a member of Mount Olivet Lodge Number 704 Free Accepted Masons Blue Lodge and the Ancient Accepted Thirty Second Degree Scottish Rite Consistory. He loved model railroading, the New York Yankees, Camp Bashore and Troop 446's Annual Spaghetti Supper. Surviving in addition to his wife are a son, Timothy, husband of Amy Blouch; a daughter, Melissa, wife of David Yuri Hooper; grandchildren, Gracie Hooper and Andrew Blouch; and a sister, Mary Ellen, wife of Bruce Beckman. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by brothers, Raymond, Jr. and Ronald. A memorial service will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Covenant United Methodist Church, 346 N. 9th Street, Lebanon. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
