Bowman PALMYRA Lillian Irene (Schucker) Bowman, 73, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 12, 2011, at home with her loving family by her side. She was born Sunday, November 28, 1937, in Berks County, to the late LeRoy and Anna Mae (Clauser) Schucker. She graduated from Northern Lebanon High School and retired from Hershey Foods, where she worked in the wrapping department. She was a member of Hershey VFW Post 3502, Perseverance Jonestown Fire Company, and Mt. Zion Fire Company. She enjoyed bowling, going out to dinner, animals, and gardening. She was a passionate and loving mother, grandmother, and friend who always cared for others beyond her own needs. She is survived by six children, Cindy Donahue, Linda Boger, wife of Kenneth, and Rodney Bowman, husband of Christina, all of Palmyra, Brenda Raynes, wife of Larry of Rexmont, Kathy Bailey, wife of Charles of Annville, and Sandy Young, wife of Edward, Jr. of Red Lion; 16 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and five siblings, LeRoy Schucker, Jr. of Frystown, Marvin Schucker, husband of Rose of Wernersville, Mildred Schriver, wife of Al of Jonestown, Robert Schucker, husband of Patsy of Jonestown, and Dennis Schucker, husband of Cindy of Schuylkill Haven. She was predeceased by a son, Thomas Bowman, Jr.; a brother, Leon Long; and an infant sister, Dorothy Schucker. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Rothermel Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 25 W. Pine St., Palmyra 17078 with the Rev. Douglas Smith officiating. Family and friends are invited for viewing on Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and from 10 a.m. until time of the service. Burial will follow in Gravel Hill Cemetery, Palmyra.
