  VALDOSTA, GA Dale R. Burkholder, 83, formerly of Hershey passed away Saturday, 
  June 25, 2011, in Hershey. Born February 7, 1928, in Hays Grove, he was a son 
  of the late Karl M. and Kathryn L. (Ott) Burkholder. Retired as Manager of 
  Planning and Administration for Project and Design Engineering for Hershey 
  Chocolate Company, he was a member, Sunday School teacher and Chairman of 
  Missions Committee of Lebanon Valley Bible Church, Lebanon and Northside 
  Baptist Church, Valdosta, Georgia. Formerly he was on the Elder Board, church 
  treasurer and youth group leader at Lebanon Valley Bible Church and on the 
  board of Home Life Ministries. He was a U.S. Air Force Veteran of World War II. 
  The widower of Gloria F. (Werner) Burkholder who died September 27, 1998, he 
  was also preceded in death by a son, Brent D. Burkholder and his brother, 
  Richard K. Burkholder. Surviving are his wife, Latrelle D. (Gardner) 
  Burkholder; sons, Bruce D. Burkholder of Hershey and Bryan, husband of Kerry 
  Burkholder of Palmyra; seven grandchildren and several step-grandchildren. A 
  funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 29, 2011, at his church, 
  1482 Horseshoe Pike, Lebanon. Viewings will be held 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday and 9 
  to 10 a.m. Wednesday, both at the church. Interment will be in Broadview 
  Cemetery, Hershey.
