He was the husband of Annie W. Nolt Burkholder to whom he was married 63 years. He was born May 12, 1928, in Ephrata Township, Lancaster County, a son the late Noah W. and Elizabeth Z. Zimmerman Burkholder. Noah was employed as a farmer and was a member of Martin's Mennonite Church of the Weaverland Conference, Womelsdorf. Surviving, in addition to his wife, are children, Lucille, married to Glenn High of Robesonia, Elizabeth, married to Marvin Weaver of Lititz, Aaron, married to Edith Huber Burkholder of Myerstown, Noah, married to Martha Sensenig Burkholder of New Holland, and Anna, married to Lester High of Denver; 26 grandchildren; 56 great-grandchildren; brothers, David Burkholder, husband of the late Grace Fox Burkholder of Ephrata, Ivan, married to Irene M. Zimmerman Burkholder of Akron, Harvey, married to Jeanette M. Shober Burkholder of Ephrata, Norman Burkholder of Leola, and Elvin Burkholder, husband of the late Ruth Ristenbatt Burkholder of Ephrata; and sisters, Anna, married to Eli M. Horst of Denver, Mary, married to Melvin Martin of Richland, Edna, married to Noah B. Weaver of Manheim, Lena, married to Paul B. Zimmerman of Ephrata, Ella, married to Raymond M. Hurst of Ephrata, and Etta, married to Edwin M. Martin of Holtwood. He was preceded in death by a son; grandson; two great-grandsons; brother, Aaron Burkholder; and sisters, Alta Zimmerman, Elizabeth Martin, and Ada Snyder. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. in Fairview Mennonite Church, Elco Drive, Myerstown. Viewing will be on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Fairview Mennonite Reception Center, 141 Jackson Road, Lebanon. Interment will be made in the adjoining church cemetery.
