  LEBANON Joseph Peter Carrara, 84, passed away Sunday, December 18, 2011 at the 
  Good Samaritan Hospital. He was the husband of Frances E. (Galosi) Carrara. 
  Born in Apollo, on April 27, 1927, Joseph was a son of the late Antonio and 
  Teresa (Cirio) Carrara. He was retired from Alcoa. He enjoyed his family, 
  gardening, golfing, and was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan. He was a member 
  of Holy Name Society and St. Cecilia's Church, where he was active as a 
  volunteer. He was a U.S. Navy veteran. In addition to his wife, he is survived 
  by six children: Christine, wife of Steven Smith; Laurie, wife of Conrad Horn; 
  Anthony Carrara; Kelly, wife of Peter Howatt; Eric Galosi and Caraline, wife 
  of Michael Engle. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; one brother, 
  Peter Carrara; one sister, Mary DeSalvo and several nieces and nephews. He was 
  preceded in death by a sister, Jean Alvino. Funeral Mass Thursday at 11 a.m. 
  at St. Cecilia's Church, 202 E. Lehman St., Lebanon, 17046. Interment at St 
  Gertrude's Cemetery. Viewing Thursday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church.   
  Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. is entrusted with the arrangements.
