  MYERSTOWN Jean E. Fishel Carter, 87, formerly of E. Locust St., Lebanon, died 
  Thursday, August 25, 2011, in the StoneRidge Towne Center. She was the wife of 
  the late Frank L. Carter. She was born in Red Lion, on May 24, 1924, a 
  daughter of the late Kenneth E. and Mina Smith Fishel. She was a graduate of 
  Red Lion High School, class of 1942, and Thomas Jefferson School of Nursing, 
  class of 1945. She was a retired Registered Nurse who worked for the Lebanon 
  Valley General Hospital, the Lebanon VA Medical Center, and served for over 
  three years with the GSH Care at Grace Community. She was a member of Beta 
  Sigma Phi International Laureate Alpha Iota Chapter; Preceptor Alphi Phi 
  Chapter; Order of Eastern Star Lebanon Chapter 115; National Association of 
  Retired Federal Employees, Lebanon Valley Chapter 458, where she served as 
  President from 1991 to 1999; Lebanon Senior Center; and Hebron U.M. Church. 
  She is survived by granddaughters, Kelli Sue, wife of Michael Parker of 
  Chesapeake Beach, Md., and Jamie Lee Carter of Harrisburg; great-
  grandchildren, Regan Parker, Jaydon Smith, and Drake Kelly; and daughter-in-
  law, Kimberly Carter of Gardners. She was preceded in death by a son, Jacques 
  D. Carter. Funeral services will be Saturday, September 3, 2011, at 11 a.m. in 
  the Rohland Funeral Home, 508 Cumberland St., Lebanon 17042 where a viewing 
  will begin at 10 a.m. Interment will be made in Mt. Lebanon Cemetery.
