Cassel PALMYRA Arlene Grace (Wagner) Cassel, 87, passed away Saturday, April 30, 2011 at Spang Crest Manor, Lebanon. She was born Wednesday, February 20, 1924 in Palmyra to the late Herman and Violet (Wolfersberger) Wagner. Arlene retired as a secretary of the Guidance Department at Palmyra Area Middle School. A member of the Palmyra First United Methodist Church, she also enjoyed cooking, sewing, and spending time with her loving family. In addition to her parents, Arlene was preceded in death by her husband, J. Gerald Cassel, to whom she was married for 45 years. She is survived by her son, James G. Cassel, Jr. and wife Judy; daughter, Dawn (Cassel) Neubauer and husband, Richard; grandsons, James G. Cassel, III and wife Denise, Andrew Cassel and wife Becky, Christopher Cassel and wife Meagan; granddaughter, Katie Neubauer; two great-grandchildren, Brady and MaryGrace Cassel; brother, Wayne Wager and wife Mary Ellen; sisters, Marian (Wagner) Sihvola and Almeida (Wagner) Dinger; and six nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. at Arlene's church, Palmyra First United Methodist Church, 520 East Birch St., Palmyra, with Rev. Dr. David P. Harris officiating. Family and friends are invited for visitation from 9 a.m. until time of the service. Burial will follow in Gravel Hill Cemetery, Palmyra. Rothermel Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 25 West Pine St., Palmyra has been entrusted with the arrangements.
