  Ferne R. Chronister 
  
  PALMYRA Ferne R. Chronister, 87, died Friday, August 12, 2011, at the M.S. 
  Hershey Medical Center. She was the wife of Harry L. Chronister, who died in 
  1993. Born in Annville, on December 7, 1923, she was the daughter of the late 
  Jacob and Minne Eisenhauer Schell. Ferne was a homemaker and worked at the 
  Palmyra Shoe Factory for over 20 years until her retirement. She is survived 
  by a son, Lawrence H. Chronister and wife, Karen of Lexington, N.C.; a 
  daughter, Gloria J., wife of Steve Kolar of Fredericksburg; one brother, 
  Forrest D. Schell of Lebanon; two sisters, Blanche Keller of Lebanon and Carol 
  Light of Cornwall; a sister-in-law, Ruth Schell of Mechanicsburg; and numerous 
  grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two 
  brothers, Vernon and Paul D. Schell; and a sister, Rachel Garst. Funeral 
  services will be held at the convenience of the family. Kreamer & Lum Funeral 
  Home & Crematory, Jonestown, is in charge of the arrangements.
