M. shabodeho@aol.com June 9, 2011, 11:37 pm Published in Lebanon Daily News on June 9, 2011 Betty L. Clark MYERSTOWN Betty L. Clark, 81, died Monday, June 6, 2011, in her residence. She was the wife of James L. Clark to whom she was married to for 59 years. Born in Altoona, on November 4, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Margaret Bradley Jones. Earlier in her life she and her husband were Missionaries in Ethiopia with the Sudan Interior Mission. In her later years she worked as a Registered Nurse for the Good Samaritan Hospital until retirement. Betty received her BA in Theology from Lancaster Bible College and an associate degree (RN) from Reading Area Community College. Betty was a member of Mt. Aetna Bible Church. Her greatest passion in life was to take the good news of the gospel of Jesus Christ to a lost and needy world. She took it to the continent of Africa in her prime years, to the bedside of her patients in later nursing years, and to senior communities through teaching God's Word in small group studies in her retirement years. Her single greatest joy was to see just one more come to a saving faith in her Lord. Surviving, in addition to her husband are two sons, Timothy S. husband of Sherri Clark of Birmingham, Alabama, Bradley E. Clark of Maryville, Tennessee, a daughter Lauren B. Clark of Lebanon; and grandchildren, Sarah Clark, Stephen Clark, and Leni Clark. Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family with interment in Grand View Memorial Park. A Memorial service will be held on Monday evening June 13, 2011, at Mt. Aetna Bible Church, Mill & Chestnut Streets, Mt. Aetna at 6:30 p.m. with a visitation to follow. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions, in her memory, to Ethiopian Outreach Ministry, or Spread of Grace Ministries.
