Clauser, 90, passed away on Monday, November 7, 2011, surrounded by his loving family. Bob was one of seven children born to the late Robert Clauser Sr. and Julia (Strickler) Clauser of Kleinfeltersville, where he was raised. Bob was a long time resident of Aberdeen N.J., before moving to Point Pleasant. He attended Penn State University, where he achieved a degree in chemical engineering. Bob served his country proudly in the American Field Service as an ambulance driver during World War II. After returning from the war, he met and married Anne Walker of Schaefferstown, with whom he had his two children, and was married for 20 years. Bob retired from Madison Industries in Old Bridge Township after 23 years of employment at the age of seventy. Bob remained a very active man, well into his late 80's. He was an avid skier, and long time member of the Central Jersey Ski Club. He loved sports, and he especially loved to golf, bowl, and swim. He was very proud of his five grandchildren, who lovingly called him "Pop-Pop". He enjoyed watching them play various sport's, perform in plays, band, and chorus recitals. He also had a great love of dogs, and often spoke of his beloved "Dolly", an American Staffordshire terrier he rescued from a local animal shelter. Bob is survived by his daughter, Melanie Jadacki and her husband, James of Freehold; his son, William Clauser and his wife, Andrea (Andi) of Point Pleasant; his grandchildren, James Jr. and Alec Jadacki, and Jessica, Emily and Will Clauser. Three sisters Dottie Kale, Joanne Stohler, and Ruth Krall; and his brother, Gene Clauser; and many nieces and nephews. Bob was predeceased in death by his parents; his sister, Thelma Zartman; and his brothers, Leon Clauser and Charles Strickler.
