  MECHANICSBURG Rufus C. Clay, 95, formerly of Lebanon, passed away peacefully 
  with family by his side on Tuesday, October 4, 2011 at Pinnacle Health 
  Hospital. He was born on Wednesday, March 1, 1916, to the late Cloyd Clay and 
  Annie Clay nee Kurtz in Berks Co. He was a retired truck driver of 60+ years 
  and was leased with Dunmoyer Trucking, Ono. Rufus was awarded the million mile 
  safe driving award. Surviving are son, Gary Rufus L. Clay, Mechanicsburg; 
  daughters, Dolores spouse of Joe Gettle, Lebanon, Mabel spouse of the late 
  Bill Stumpf, Lebanon; grandchildren, Sharon Kauffman, Bethel, William Stumpf, 
  Lebanon; and a friend who helped take care of Rufus, John W. Simmons, 
  Mechanicsburg. He was preceded in death by wife, Marion Clay. Viewing will be 
  on Monday, October 10, 2011 from 12 noon to 2 p.m. at Christman's Funeral 
  Home, Inc., 226 Cumberland St., Lebanon. Funeral services will be on Monday at 
  2 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at St. John's Church of Mt. Aetna 
  following the service. Christman's Funeral Home, Inc., is honored to serve the 
  family with the arrangements.
