Cleary, 67, of 8 Cherry St., died Sunday night, December 4, 2011, at Lehigh Valley Hospital in Allentown. He was born in Pottsville, on March 20, 1944, a son of John and Tess Gauntlett Cleary of PIne Grove. Jack was retired from the Lebanon VA Hospital. He was a 1962 graduate of Nativity High School and Ford Business School. He was involved with Nativity Girls' Softball, the Little League, Wild Cats Soccer, and he played softball for North End Fire Co. and the Mansion House. He was the former P.G. Sewer Authority Director. Mr. Cleary was a member of Most Blessed Trinity Church in Tremont. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He volunteered at Camp Dragonfly and helped maintain the grounds at Most Blessed Trinity Church. He was an active sports fan of Nativity Girls' basketball and NFL football, rooting for any team playing against the Cowboys. He often traveled to Notre Dame football games and visited Ireland. Surviving, in addition to his parents, are his wife of 47 years, Patricia Juritsko Cleary, two sons, John A. and Jeffrey, a daughter, Brenda Stevens, a brother, Tom, and a sister, Joanne Schnoke, all of Pine Grove; six grandchildren, Christopher, Andrew, and Amanda Stevens, and Mason, Gage, and Adelynn Cleary; and a dear friend, Robert Updegrove. He was a beloved son, husband, brother, father, grandfather, and friend who will be greatly missed. A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. at Most Blessed Trinity Church in Tremont. The Rev. Father Paul Rothermel will be celebrant. Friends may call at the church on Saturday starting at 10 a.m. Interment will be private. The Minnig-Berger Funeral Home in Tremont is in charge of arrangements.
