  Timothy E. Coates 
  
  PALMYRA Timothy E. Coates, 57, passed away Monday, August 8, 2011, in the M.S. 
  Hershey Medical Center. Born in Uniontown on April 5, 1954, he was the son of 
  the late Charles and Barbara Confer Coates. Tim retired from Verizon. He was a 
  1972 graduate of Uniontown Area High School, and graduated from Penn State 
  University in 1977 as a Health and Physical Education major. He enjoyed 
  hunting, fishing and going for walks; and loved animals and bird watching. Tim 
  put everyone else first, and would do everything and anything for everybody. 
  He is survived by his wife of 16 years, Beth A. Coates, whom he married in 
  June of 1995; one son, Jeremy D. Crone of Hummelstown; one brother, 
  Charles "Chuck" Coates husband of Lana of Hummelstown; a nephew, Josh Coates 
  of Harrisburg; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Funeral services will 
  be held Saturday at 11 a.m. in the Trefz & Bowser Funeral Home, Inc., 114 W. 
  Main St., Hummelstown, with The Rev. Norman Evans officiating. Interment will 
  be in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Lower Paxton Township. Friends are invited 
  to the viewing Saturday from 10 a.m. until time of the service. Those desiring 
  may send memorial contributions to the American Heart/Stroke Association.
