Cochrane, 81, died Saturday October 1, 2011, in Spang Crest Manor, Lebanon. He was the husband of Annerose Stratmeyer Cochrane, with whom he would have celebrated their 54th Wedding Anniversary this December. Born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on September 21, 1930, he was the son of the late Spencer and Eleanor Breitung Cochrane. He was employed as the Assistant Regional Forester for the U.S. Forest Service for 41 years and also was a U.S. Army Veteran of Korea. Jim was a graduate of Utah State University with a degree in Forestry Management and a member of St. Paul the Apostle Church, Annville. Surviving, in addition to his wife, are two sons, Michael H. husband of Lorraine Cochrane of Fleetwood, K. Scott Cochrane of Santa Barbara, Calif.; a daughter, Miquette wife of Allen Orr of Elkton, Md.; a sister, Natalie wife of Robert Fitzpatrick of Milwaukee, Wis.; and grandchildren. Memorial mass will be celebrated on Saturday at 11 a.m. from St. Paul the Apostle Church, 125 S. Spruce St., Annville, with the Rev. Michael P. Reid, II officiating. Inurnment will be held at the convenience of the family in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. Visitation will be held following the service in the Church social hall. Kreamer Funeral Home and Crematory, Annville, is in charge of arrangements.
