  ANNVILLE Helen M. Conrad, 93, formerly of Weavertown Road, Lebanon, died on 
  Tuesday, May 17, 2011, at Community General Osteopathic Hospital, Harrisburg. 
  She was born on Wednesday, April 17, 1918, to the late Henry S. Bicksler and 
  Edna C. Bicksler nee Wolf in S. Jackson Twp. She was a member of Salem 
  Evangelical Lutheran Church. Helen was a life member of VFW Ladies Auxiliary, 
  Sunday School teacher and cook at the church and NL Senior Citizens Group. She 
  was also a member of the Weavertown Fire Co., Ladies Auxiliary, lay person for 
  Salem's visitation program and involved with Ebenezer Elementary PTA in the 
  1950s. Surviving are daughters, Jane R. spouse of Gregory Straub, Cleona, 
  Louise R. spouse of Robert D. Shirk, Winston Salem, N.C.; grandchildren, Conrad 
  D. spouse of Crystal Shirk, Nathan T. Shirk; great-grandchildren, Ian Shirk, 
  Daniel Shirk; sisters Elsie spouse of Ernest Hower, Betty Ann Phillips. She was 
  preceded in death by husband Charles T. Conrad; brothers, Harry Bicksler, John 
  Bicksler; sisters Mildred Bixler, Lillian Bicksler. Visitation will be on 
  Monday, May 23, 2011, from 10 to 11 a.m. at Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church, 
  119 N. 8th St., Lebanon. Funeral services will be on Monday at 11 a.m. at the 
  church. Burial will be at Grand View Memorial Park, Annville, at the 
  convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made to Salem 
  Evangelical Lutheran Church-Salem Preservation Fund.  Christman's Funeral Home, 
  Inc. is honored to serve the family with the arrangements.
