Decker Jr., 59, died Monday, June 27, 2011, in the Select Specialty Hospital, Harrisburg. He was born in York, on August 6, 1951, son of Charles L. Decker Sr. and the late Margaret Baily Decker. He was a veteran in the U.S. Marine Corps having served during the Vietnam War. He was formerly employed as a cook at the Lebanon V.A. Medical Center with 21 years of service. Charles was a homebody who enjoyed collecting Native American and Marine Corps memorabilia and all types of knives. He was an avid writer, especially poems and a lover of all animals particurily his dog T-Rex and his cat Spook. Charles is survived by his common-law wife and best friend, Debra Saylor, Lebanon and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his mother he was preceded in death by his brothers, Scott and Craig Decker. Funeral services will be held on Friday evening at 7 p.m. in the Rohland Funeral Home, 508 Cumberland St., Lebanon where a viewing will be held at 6 p.m. until the time of the service.
