Dietz, Sr., 87, passed away Friday, January 21, 2011, at the Lebanon VA Medical Center. He was the husband of Ruth B. Ziegler Bohn Dietz, to whom he was married 37 years. Born in Lebanon, on December 22, 1923, he was the son of the late Raymond and Elsie Peters Dietz. He was active in the automotive and truck business for many years and was the owner of Dietz International, Lebanon, formerly D.K. Wissler, which he purchased in 1973. He was a Navy Veteran, serving in WWII. He was a member of New Song Community Church, Ebenezer, life member of the Lebanon Elks #631, and U.S. Naval Institute. He was a member of Mt. Lebanon Lodge #226 F&AM, Harrisburg Consistory, Rajah Temple Shrine, Lebanon County Shrine Club, Quentin Riding Club, 51 year member of TPA Post E, Lebanon, Navy Club Ship 91, Fredericksburg American Legion, Ono Fire Company, Deer Camp Kio and Steitz Club, Lebanon. Dick was an avid golfer, fisherman, hunter, and enjoyed cruises. In addition to his wife, Richard is survived by children, Susan, wife of Richard Higginbotham of Arizona, Richard J., Jr., husband of Vicki Dietz of Lebanon, Jeffrey L., husband of Barbara Bohn of Annville, and Hans, husband of Mary Lynn Bohn of Carlisle, Mass.; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and sister, Gertrude, wife of Ralph Trautman of Camp Strauss. His first wife, Betty Nye Dietz, preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by brothers, William and Chester Dietz; and sisters, Mildred Mellinger and Betty Desch. Relatives and friends are respectively invited to attend Dick's funeral on Saturday, January 29, 2011, at 11 a.m. from the Ruffner-Porterfield Funeral Directors & Cremation Services, Ltd., 890 Isabel Drive, Lebanon, with the Rev. Dr. Levi J. Ziegler and Pastor Barbara Bohn officiating. Friends will be received on Saturday beginning at 9 a.m. until time of service. Interment will be held at Mt. Lebanon Cemetery, Lebanon, where military honors will be accorded by Lebanon VFW Post 23 Honor Squad. Masonic services will be held by Mt.
