  John L. Dissinger 
   
  MYERSTOWN John L. Dissinger, 78, passed away Friday, May 27, 2011, at the Good 
  Samaritan Hospital. He was the husband of Vicki (Legot) Dissinger. Born in 
  Lebanon, on December 25, 1932, he was the son of the late William R. Dissinger 
  and Esther Smith Schauer. He was a member of Mary Gate of Heaven Church and the 
  Knights of Columbus. He worked for Bendix Field Engineering for over 20 years. 
  He was a retired Air Force Veteran with 20 years of service. In addition to his 
  wife, he is survived by two daughters, Nancy Y., wife of Harry Gordon of 
  Blandon, and Patricia L., wife of Gregory Singer of Richland; three 
  grandchildren, Sandy, Megan, and Kelin; one great-grandchild, Madison; three 
  brothers, Leo Schauer, Gary Schauer, and Howard Schauer; one sister, Joan 
  Landis; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Mass Friday morning 11:30 a.m. 
  from Mary Gate of Heaven Church, 188 W. McKinley Ave., Myerstown. Interment at 
  Indiantown Gap National Cemetery with full military honors. Visitation Friday 
  morning from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. in the Madonna Hall at the church. Recitation 
  of the rosary at 10:15 a.m. Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. is entrusted with the 
  arrangements.
