  PALMYRA Martin 'Marty' Lee Dommel, 71, succumbed to lung disease on Friday, 
  March 18, 2011, at his home. He is survived by his loving wife of 20 years, 
  Darlene E. (Herr) Dommel. He was born Sunday, February 4, 1940, in Lawn to the 
  late Albert and Kathrine (Weaver) Dommel. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran and loved 
  his country. He was a prominent businessman beginning in excavating and later 
  automotive repair; as a licensed mechanic he owned and operated Marty's Auto 
  Repair in Palmyra, and was able to fix or tune anything with wheels. He enjoyed 
  fast cars, boats, boxing, NASCAR, going to the beach, and American Flyer 
  trains. Marty was known as the restaurant king, never missing a chance to stop 
  for a bite to eat and a cup of black coffee. He is survived by two sons, Robin 
  L. Dommel and companion, Mary Weatherholtz of Palmyra, and Michael L. Dommel 
  and fiancee, Sue Rhodes of Cleona; two step-sons, Thomas L. Herr of Palmyra, 
  and Brian S. Herr and wife, Laura of Palmyra; a step daughter, E. Kristina 
  Engle and husband, Todd of Williamstown; three grandchildren; one brother, 
  Robin A. Dommel of Lawn; seven nieces and three nephews. He was predeceased by 
  a son, Martin L. Dommel, Jr.; and two sisters. A Memoral Service will be held 
  Friday at 11:30 a.m. at Rothermel Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 25 
  W. Pine St., Palmyra, PA 17078, with Reverend Father Sud Tiwari officiating. 
  Family and friends are invited for visitation from 9:30 a.m. until time of the 
  service. Burial with full military honors will follow in Indiantown Gap 
  National Cemetery, Annville.
