(Gingrich) Fureman Early, 91, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 21, 2011, at the M.S. Hershey Medical Center. She was born Sunday, February 22, 1920, in Hummelstown to the late Raymond A. and Margie (Sholl) Gingrich. She was predeceased by her husbands, Marlin L. Fureman in 1970 and Luther A. Early in 2007. She was a member of Palm Lutheran Church where she worked as secretary for 18 years prior to her retirement in 1982. She was a member of AARP Lebanon, Women of Palm, Palmyra Garden Club, and "Pennsylvania Pals" country western band where she sang and played her prized Gibson guitar. She served as den mother for the cub scouts for many years, positively impacting many young lives. She enjoyed painting, music and later writing poetry. She was an extremely talented and caring soul who loved her family beyond measure. She is survived by three sons, Marlin G. Fureman and wife Eileen A. of Palmyra, Larry D. Fureman and wife Maria Gallo of West Grove, and Steven A. Fureman and wife Heather M. of Wrightsville; six grandchildren, Ian Fureman and wife Barbara of Drexel Hill, Patrick Fureman and wife Angie of Dallastown, Jennifer Bosserman and husband Brandon of Mt. Wolf, Michael Fureman and wife Jessica of York, Steven and Jordan Fureman of Wrightsville; 10 great-grandchildren, Regina, Jamie, Benjamin, Katie, Nathan, Luke, Kelsie, Hayden, Valerie, and Madelyn; two sisters, Arlene Plasterer of Louisa, Va., and Joy Houser and husband LeRoy of Palmyra; and her faithful K9 companion, Muffin. She was predeceased by two brothers, Jacob E. and Charles R. Gingrich; three sisters, Caroline Arndt, Dorothy Drupp, and Betty Morris. Funeral services will be held Monday, November 28, 2011, at 11 a.m. at Rothermel Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 25 W. Pine St., Palmyra, PA 17078, with the Rev. Dr. John D. Merkel officiating. Family and friends are invited for viewing from 10 a.m. until time of the service. Burial will follow in Grandview Memorial Park, Annville.
