M. shabodeho@aol.com June 5, 2011, 10:31 pm Published in Lebanon Daily News on June 2, 2011 Ralph Zug Ebersole PALMYRA Ralph Zug Ebersole, 85, went to be with his Lord on Wednesday, June 1, 2011, in the M.S. Hershey Medical Center with his loving wife by his side. Born January 24, 1926, in Bareville, he was a son of the late Elmer and Ada (Hershey) Ebersole. A retired minister from the Church of the Brethren serving parishes 45 years in Reading, Claysburg, and Tyrone, he was an associate pastor in Sebring, Fla., and interim pastor in a number of churches. He was a member of Conewago Church of the Brethren, Hershey, farmed Camp Swatara for two years, and developed Camp Blue Diamond in Huntingdon County. Surviving are his wife of 66 years, Elizabeth R. "Betty" (Reiber) Ebersole; siblings, Marion, wife of Wilbur Brubaker of Manheim, Galen, husband of Melva Ebersole of Elizabethtown, Helen Fansler of York, Alice Geiman of Harrisonburg, Va., and Harold Ebersole of Woodstock, Va.; and nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Saturday at his church, 7035 Schoolhouse Road, Hershey. Viewings will be held 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the DiMatteo Worship Center of the Lebanon Valley Brethren Home, 1200 Grubb St., Palmyra, and 12 noon to 1 p.m. Saturday at the church. Interment will be in Chiques Hill Cemetery, Manheim. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Conewago Church of the Brethren.
