  Robert B. Eby Sr. 
  
  FREDERICKSBURG Robert B. Eby, Sr., 85, passed away Thursday, July 14, 2011, at 
  the Lebanon VA Medical Center. He was the husband of the late Jean (Heilman) 
  Eby. Robert was born in Lebanon, on January 7, 1926. He was the son of the 
  late Aurther and Mary (Laudermilch) Eby. He worked as a diesel mechanic at 
  Lesher Mack in Lebanon. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He enjoyed 
  Williams Grove old timers racing, his dog "Joe", gardening, racing, and fixing 
  motors. He is survived by three children, Donald J., husband of Barbara Eby of 
  Jonestown, Elizabeth Eby of Hershey, and Alan W. Eby of Fredericksburg; eight 
  grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one sister, Mary Zellers of Lebanon; 
  and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one son, Robert B. 
  Eby, Jr.; and one brother, John Eby. Funeral services are at the convenience 
  of the family. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the American 
  Cancer Society.  Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. is entrusted with the 
  arrangements.
