Edelman passed away in Lebanon on Saturday, January 1, 2011, at the age of 104. Ben was born in Cementon to Herbert and Floy Edelman and was raised in Lehighton. His early career was as a surveyor for the Pennsylvania Dept. of Highways. He then worked at Textile Machine Works, retiring in 1964 as Plant Superintendent after 40 years of service. He was also a Deputy Game Protector with the Pennsylvania Game Commission for over 40 years. Ben was predeceased by his wife of 64 years, Margaret Edelman, and his son, Mark Edelman, both in 1991. He is survived by his daughter, Betty Creamer, wife of Anthony Creamer of Lebanon, Wanda Edelman, widow of Mark Edelman of Ashland, and Bryon Edelman, husband of Susan Edelman of Avon Lake, Ohio; as well as nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and three great-great- grandchildren. A memorial will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Heidelberg Cemetery. Lamm & Witman Funeral Home, Inc., Wernersville, is handling arrangements.
