M. shabodeho@aol.com July 15, 2011, 10:32 pm Published in Lebanon Daily News on July 13, 2011 Edward W. Etzweiler LEBANON Edward W. Etzweiler, 89 of Lebanon, died Monday July 11, 2011 at home. He was the husband of the late Ethel P. Etzweiler. He was born in Hershey on December 10, 1921 a son of the late Harry O. and Ida J. Etzweiler. He was retired from the Metropolitan Edison Company as a mechanic for over 37 years. He had served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during WWII. He was a member of the Sand Hill Church of Christ in Christian Union and was a life member of the Lebanon American Legion Post, where he was a past commander. He is survived by a son, Terry Lee and wife Judy Etzweiler of Lebanon; grandchildren, Eric Etzweiler and wife Lydia of Arkansas, Gail wife of Todd Reigle of Fredericksburg, Terry Etzweiler, Jr. of Pine Grove, Mark and wife Heather Etzweiler of Lebanon, Jonas Etzweiler serving in the Armed Forces, Rachael Etzweiler of Lebanon; 12 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. He was precdeded in death by brothers, David, Harry, Charles Etzweiler; and sisters, Dorothy and Bertha Etzweiler. Funeral services will be Thursday at 10 a.m. in the SandHill Church of Christ in Christian Union, 1000 Laurel St., Lebanon, 17046, where a viewing will begin at 9 a.m. Interment will be made in the National Cemetery at Ft. Indiantown Gap with full military honors. The Rohland Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
