Cassel Euler, 76, passed away Saturday, September 10, 2011, in the Community General Hospital, Harrisburg. Born in West Hanover Township, on June 2, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Milford H. and Minnie F. Etzweiler Cassel. Shirley was a cashier at Giant Foods in Linglestown. She was an active member of Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church, Harrisburg. Shirley enjoyed bowling on the Tuesday Night Business and Restaurant Bowling League at the Palmyra Bowling. She was a former Girl Scout and Boy Scout Leader and scorekeeper for her husband's baseball team. Shirley was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, She was preceded in death by a son, Terry Lee Euler; daughter, Anna Mary Signor; and stepson, Albert Fasic. Shirley is survived by her husband of 58 years, Albert F. Euler, whom she married on May 21, 1953; three sons, Gene W. Euler, husband of Cynthia of West Hanover Township, Robert K. Euler, husband of Linda of Gainesville, and George H. Euler of Harrisburg; three daughters, Deborah K., wife of Ted A. Mehring of Wiconisco, Charlotte R. Euler of Harrisburg, and Cynthia C., wife of Glenn Jacobs of Webster, Fla.; stepdaughter, Beatrice, wife of Joseph Banic of Texas; one sister, Anna M., wife of Bradley A. West of Gainesville, Fla.; 17 grandchildren; and 32 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. in the Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1214 Crosby St., Harrisburg, with her pastor, The Rev. Dr. William Q. Stickley, officiating. Interment will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, Lower Paxton Township. Friends are invited to the viewings Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Trefz & Bowser Funeral Home, Inc., 114 W. Main St., Hummelstown, and Thursday in the church from 10 a.m. until time of the services.
