Faiola PALMYRA Martin A Faiola, 69, passed away Thursday, April 14, 2011, at Yale New Haven Hospital, Conn. Born in Lebanon, he was the son of the late Albino and Fern (Wohletz) Faiola. He was a member of The Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Palmyra, a member of the Middletown Moose #410 and the Rescue Social Club in Lebanon. He retired from Taylor Wharton Steel Company after 41 years of service. He enjoyed attending sprint car races with his sons, fishing with his grandson, and spending time with all of his grandchildren. He also loved 50's music, and music of all kinds. Surviving are his wife of 50 years, Mary; three sons, Anthony and his wife, Sharon of Middletown, Joseph and his wife, Cherie of Harrisburg, and Dean and his wife, Jenn of Palmyra; and nine grandchildren. He was the oldest of six brothers. Remaining brothers are Alan and his wife, Barbara of California, Richard and his wife, Susan of Harrisburg, Ron, Michael and his wife, Darlene, and John and his wife, Lynn, all of Maryland.A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday at 11 a.m. at The Church of the Holy Spirit, 245 W. Pine St., Palmyra, PA 17078. Burial will be in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the church on Tuesday from 10:30 a.m. until time of services.
